The wait is almost over for the 2020 NBA trade deadline that will be happening tomorrow at 3 P.M. Obviously, at this time of year the Pistons have been known to always make some sort of deal. Just to name a few they’ve acquired players like Blake Griffin, Tobias Harris, Reggie Jackson, and last year Svi Mykhailiuk. Therefore it has almost become tradition that Detroit makes some sort of trade whether it’s a blockbuster or not.

This season especially makes it a huge time of year because currently the Pistons are 18-34 in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. With the position the Pistons are in right now it’s guaranteed that they will be big sellers at the deadline. The players that may be on the move are Andre Drummond, Derrick Rose, and Luke Kennard.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported yesterday that the Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons were in trade discussions centered around Luke Kennard who’s in his 3rd season for the Pistons. Wojnarowski also reported a possible trade that included the Pistons sending over Kennard for Jevon Carter, Elie Okobo, and a 1st round pick. Now here’s the tricky part because obviously the Suns will be in the lottery again this year, so there’s a possibility that the 1st round pick going to Detroit can be protected.

Reported two days ago was that the Philadelphia 76ers have been mentioning possible packages for Pistons point guard Derrick Rose who’s currently averaging 18.5 PPG. Rose has one year left on his two year 15 million dollar deal. Personally, this is the one player from the Pistons that I believe will be traded by 3 P.M tomorrow. This is because his position and the way he’s playing right now is in high demand for contenders like the Sixers, and Lakers.

Lastly, the question that will be answered tomorrow is whether or not Andre Drummond will still be a Detroit Piston. Talks have really slowed down in the past couple days for the Center, but there’s still a chance that the Pistons push for a deal. Only because as we all know Drummond has an opt-out in his contract after this season which could rush the Pistons to get something for him instead of losing him in Free Agency for nothing.
