Well…, the Pistons were only back two games of a playoff spot three games ago. This was of course until they lost their last three games including one to the Brooklyn Nets who still hold the last playoff spot.

Now, the Pistons are back to 14 games under .500 and 3.5 GB from the Brooklyn Nets who the Pistons happen to play tonight at 7:30 PM in Brooklyn. There’s a lot of different sides taken by Pistons fans whether losing is better or winning to get the last playoff spot in the East is better. From my perspective when the Pistons were only a couple games back of the Nets two games ago with a chance to cut that lead in half, I couldn’t help myself but to want them to win.

So, here we are again with a chance to gain a whole game in the standings against the Nets. Detroit will be without Khyri Thomas and Tony Snell officially, but Andre Drummond and rookie Sekou Doumbouya are listed Day-to-Day. For the Nets side of things they will be without center Deandre Jordan, and as for the Nets star Kyrie Irving he’s not listed on the injury report but it’s still unknown whether he will play.

Prediction: Overall, I just don’t want to get blown out or disrespected on National Television tonight. I really want the Pistons to make this a game and compete. With that being said the Brooklyn Nets will bounce back from their loss against the Knicks and beat the Pistons on their home court by a score of 112 to 102.
